Ant Middleton, adventurer, survival expert, TV presenter, ex elite forces soldier, will be touring theatres across the UK in Spring 2018, sharing his experiences and exploits as a modern day explorer and expedition leader.
Ant’s appetite for adventure and extremes has no limit and has led him to take on some amazing challenges both in the military and in his TV roles – “SAS (Who Dares Wins)”, “Mutiny” and “Escape” (Channel 4).
In this adventure filled one-man show, Ant recounts his extraordinary life in the military – having achieved the elite forces holy trinity serving in the Paras, Marines and SBS – with tales that will defy belief for their sheer bravery and danger.
The tour also includes further tales and behind the scenes moments, revelations and gossip from his TV shows; and will give us an exclusive insight into his life and exciting future TV projects!

Writer Gregory Burke was born in Dunfermline in 1968. His debut play Gagarin Way won multiple awards while smash hit Black Watch won the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain Award for Best Play, the South Bank Show Theatre Award and the Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Play and has been performed around the world. Burke’s film ’71 was nominated for Best British Film and Best British Debut at the 2015 British Academy Film Awards with the screenplay winning Best Writer Film/TV at the BAFTA Scotland Awards 2016. For this event, Gregory will be in conversation with Dunfermline artist Alan Grieve.

“Downs With Love” tells the story of Beth, a young girl who has Down Syndrome. She lives a very independent life, has her routines and lives simply but happily. She is helped by a new support worker, Tracy and they soon strike up a friendship. On a Friday night, she goes to the pub to watch Mark, a local singer. Beth loves Mark but the problem is – Mark loves Tracy- who loves them both. Complex and challenging issues arise for all. (Family Friendly)

Dunfermline-based artist, Alan Grieve makes work based on the history, myth and tall tales from his home town and beyond. His video installation was made for a theatre piece called ‘In the Kingdom that Danced’ in collaboration with theatre director, Alan Lyddiard. This exhibition will take place within the stripped out shell of the former Watt & Dewar building, which will form part of the Alhambra Theatre Trust’s proposed Ironmongers Studio.
A new play by local playwright Diane Stewart. Wardrobe Malfunction follows Lindsay’s relationship with the items in her wardrobe and her relationship with boyfriend Andrew. Things get a bit complicated when the two things mix. This work in progress performance gives the audience a chance to provide feedback and help shape the play.
